If you think you were driving on the road where and when the speeding offence is stated to have occurred, it's probably best to pay up.

Some years ago I ignored something similar from another country and for years they kept sending me notifications of increasing penalties for non payment and at extortionate interest rates, until the debt was simply enormous. I eventually moved house with no forwarding address in order to get away from it, and I've often wondered what the new occupants thought when the next letter arrived.

The date tallied with our itinerary and they also kindly sent us a souvenir photo of said event!

Got two last year a few weeks after we came home. Did the crime so paid the fine..
