Norfolk's August Breakfast.

Right up the other corner of Norfolk for this Month, at Horsey.

Sunday Aug 11th, 10am At Poppylands 40's themed Café, Horsey. NR29 4EQ.

https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restau...a_England.html

Poppylands lies on one of Norfolk's better Motorcycling roads, unfortunately it will be inundated with wobbly bicycles, dopey holidaymakers and bizarrely dressed jaywalkers. That's not to say a few tractors and trailers couldn't get thrown into the equation if they're cutting corn, but should be good for a larf!

Hope to see you there.

I'll try and make this one, providing I can ride my bike as currently nursing a bad back. It's a great ride out and back for me

2 seats reserved. I'll bring my Norton penknife with marlin spike attachment, so I can help you pick the grockles out of your radiator...

The day dawned warm and dry, with the wind subsided to tolerable levels. I had a wonderful 40 mile scratch to Poppylands before the grockles had even wiped the Eggs and Bacon out of their beards.

Lovely to see Kingfisher again, along with Mr and Mrs Dacs, shortly followed by Grumpy and Richard.

The cuisine seems to have improved a little since our last visit here.. Although it's pretty hard to bugger up Beans on Toast to be fair, every one seemed happy.

Afterwards we headed vaguely in the direction of Huntington via some of Norfolk's twistiest, so that Grumpy could make a dinner date, but the grockles, tractors and Combines had come out in force by then and the journey was painfully slow, so the twisties were cut short to put Grumps on the A47.. Hopefully you got there in time?

Kingfisher's centre stand had lost a bolt by this time and was looking very dangerous, so double back to Gazza Towers to make it safe and end a (nearly) perfect riding morning. (only nearly perfect because of the farmers and grockles!)

Where to next Month?

Was a great breakfast as usual some lovely roads on the way back, thanks gazza for leading.
Hope you got to Huntington in time grumpy.

Thanks again gazza for helping me fix the orange thing and the coffee, the stand was still in place when I got home, a job for one night next week. Parts book says m8x30 so think we are spot on with the bolt.

Great to meet up for a coffee and snack.
Wonderful banter as always.
Thanks for the fun route around Norwich Gary. Shame about the grockles plus farm machinery.
I made my lunch date with the family with 10 mins to spare!
That's got to be one of the fastest runs in the direction of home yet!!!
This time we weren't low level flying, more stratospheric!

Looking forward to the Fenman

Gaz ... intended to join you guys but unfortunately commitments (family) etc got in the way ....oh, part time or retirement beckons but the pile of cash ain't big enough yet. I fancy taking a wobble to Fenman and maybe catch up there although I like parking the bevel single within safe sight ... which rather limits the visit!
