Air vents

Do these have any affects on cooling or are they purely aesthetic?
My birthday next month and I’m thinking of treating myself

I've found they do actually help the rear cylinder head cool.

Looking at pictures online, are they just cable tied on?

Whilst I believe the LH side helps, I'm not so sure about the right - at least on my M900 it feeds air primarily to the belt cover/wiring loom and an S4 will have a wider belt cover so likely the same?

I moved the oil cooler to the low position and with the absence of an airbox I now have a a direct path for cool air to the rear cylinder, I reckon this helps hugely but only on specific carb setups...

Mine have a 4mm screw at the front (into where the grey boxes were originally bolted to I think) but first they 'hook' into the frame at the rear so they can't fall out, a cable tie around the frame at the rear then holds them firm.

Both sets on mine are cable-tied on - no idea if they make a difference or not but they complete the carbon look I wanted

Where did you get the top pair from? Not that they would do much but they look good. The lower set on mine are p clipped on because the original fixtures are metal brackets that would scratch the frame.

Absolutely no idea, sorry .... when I built this bike (over 10 years ago) I sourced parts from USA, Italy, Australia, UK, France and a few others ... took me ages to find all the genuine Ducati Performance carbon parts and some parts like the three part seat cowl (aluminum and carbon glued and riveted together) seemed to be very rare even way back then.

Anyone know where I can purchase some in the Matte carbon fibre like the side panels and belt covers?

standard side panels and belt covers are gloss usually. Maybe they've dulled with age, need new clear coat?
