Great day up in the Highlands yesterday, blowing the cobwebs off the Evo.
Sort of took the shine off it when I filled up on the way home - Super was £1.80/Ltr I suppose I should make the most of it before it's £3. What's it like down in Englandshire etc.. ?

In Kent it is £1.59 for ordinary and super +6p/litre.
Crude prices hit a recent high on the news that US and Europe were thinking of stopping buying from Vladimir. If that actually happens another hike is inevitable. |

I paid £1.60 last week for super unleaded, not sure what it costs now but I just had a heating oil delivery that cost me an already unprecedented 65p/litre (ordered 2 weeks ago) and, out of curiosity checked today's price which was 138p/litre.
Now, I don't believe the actual cost has increased that much and I'm sure there is much profiteering going on but, hopefully we won't see that kind increase in petrol.

Wow! £1:80 ltr....scary portions. But look on the bright side, it gives you an excuse to leave the lawn until June....or buy a goat ? An inch of salt on the roads here, so no biking until that disappears.

Ron - I'm up in Forres on the Moray coast. Our Cooncil is tighter than Rod Stewarts wallet. You get more salt on a fish supper than you do on our roads.
The downside is that due to frost damage, there's a whole new set of slaloms to learn..

If I shop around I have found (2 days ago) unleaded can be had for £1.48 and super about £1.56 but Esso who are only ones to sell ethanol free fuel is £1.68 for super. It's bloody annoying when BP and Shell both boast massive profits this year and the fuel they are selling now was bought as crude last year.
