I don't want to be bombarded with adverts. Tick.
I want the pages to load quickly. Tick.
I want access to vast and trustworthy knowledge about Monsters. Tick is an understatement!
I want information in searches to be easily, er, searchable. It's quite good, but I suspect that it could be better.
I don't want to have to contend with Olympic standard weapons grade knob heads. Tick (mostly lol).
I would like to participate in the occasional club event, should there be any I can get to.
I want to be member of a bonafide DOC. I'm not really sure if I currently am or not (a member that is)?!

If I had to be picky, yeah the look and feel of the place whiffs a bit of 1970s Corby (in other words, present day Corby), but I wouldn't want to change that at the expense of most of the things I mentioned above.
This post is both funny and raises things I hope to clear up and improve

I am in contact with other DOC presidents around the World

A facebook/whatsapp conversation I saw recently but can no longer find went something like this:
‘Italy23’ Can anyone help with hiring Ducati for 3 Months near Liverpool?
‘UK1’ For TT? Good luck with that.
‘Italy23’ No, member working in UK for a bit.
‘UK2’ Bike hire in UK stupidly expensive, cheaper to buy 2nd hand and sell after.
‘UK1’ Leave it with me...

The almost instant offer of help and advice on Bike issues is a great plus.

I don’t like people pushing personal politics we all have different Views.

The Picture issues is a pain I would be willing to pay a reasonable yearly sub to remedy this.

The recommendations and contacts for parts etc bit on the site is excellent.

No adverts and if it goes to facebook I’m gone as I don’t have and won’t have the stalkers tool in my life sounds paranoid but I think it’s one one of the worst modern day things I can think of apart from mobile phones of course .

Noted Bill

I want to avoid subs if possible
Money is divisive, £1000 in bank will cause internal politics and potential tax liability as well as put off new members. even if only slightly.

Any profit generated will go to Air Ambulances/Riders for health.

keep ‘em coming folks

NO MORE MENTIONING ‘SUBS’

I like this place and like the 'local club' atmosphere the site has, despite living far from most of the members here and family commitments precluding getting out on the road more often.

Free at the point of contact too - a bit like the NHS. How can we not like that.
Information and technical knowledge and tips is it's real core and what the silent members and visitors come here for I suspect, long may that continue.

Facebook has killed other forum set ups and I find its reach very corrosive, hopefully we can keep clear of that place.

Friendly banter, even off topic. Check
Technical advise and assistance. Check
The ability to meet up with people from time to time. Check.

For me this forum ticks all the boxes, now if I could just find a monster that I fit on.......

Good idea!
Agree with others' comments about good feel to site and also need for easier photo posting.
Thanks to all who keep this going!

Mostly all seems good to me , maybe be able to see list of Categories easier " random chat " etc, maybe on top list , but maybe that's me not being able to navigate site properly , oh and a UKMOC sticker lol * )

The 1st forum i joined, the first motobike 'club' i joined.. all because my 1st big bike was a monster. I honestly think one of the main reasons i have the wee monster still is because of this forum!! I might not post for a year or 2 but when i do its always met with sound advice with a good bit of banter! Id have to agree with the person who said about posting pics, i wish that was easier! Other than that i am forever advising my fellow monster owners to come to this site for an answer or support on anything monster related!!! Keep up the great work!!!

...still no word from silent visitors/members!

(always remember bike club is about riding bikes)

More younger members, more Women riders, Italian ‘family feel’ at meetings (maybe hard to do #3 with national rather than local club)

Better links with Factory/DucatiUK/Local dealers

I like this forum and have a browse a few times a week. A section where websites/shops/dealers/outlets etc are listed where parts/bling can be bought from would be of interest and selfishly any more how to/maintenance guides etc for the mechanically willing but impaired..
As for going out for a meet up and ride the calender would be cool if the events etc were on it to see at a glance.
Met some friendly people through here on ride outs and events and hope to continue.

Why no post count in random chat?

As a relative newcomer to this site the only thing that lets it down is photo posting, compared to the UK Buell site which allows direct loading of photos from my laptop the hosting system needed on this site is a pain.

I’m just planning this now.
the big problem will be nag nag nag

there is no merit in uploading eg 5 nearly identical pics
or
everyone returns from event and all post same subjects

both cause big use of bandwidth... and therefore costs
