Rear wheel weight

Does anyone have a 900 (5.5in) rear wheel hanging about with a tyre on that they could weigh quickly and easily please. Oh and just let me know if it has a disc fitted.
To save me talking the one out on my M900 to weigh.

I need to arrange a courier to pick up a few bits I've brought on Ebay and need the weight of the wheel and tyre.
Bloody seller made a big thing in the auction about sending the parts First Class post and is now being a pain about doing it.

Thanks

Nasher

I have one of the narrower rear wheels, formerly fitted to my 750, to hand.
Could easily weigh that if its any use ?

Thanks Utopia, I suppose it's not going to be that much lighter than a 5.5in.

If it's anywhere near me I can collect it and arrange posting if the seller is being awkward.

Narrow, later style 3-spoke (spokes thinner towards rim) from my 750.
No disc.
Renthal ally sprocket & titanium sprocket nuts.
Fairly well worn Dunlop Sportmax tyre.
13.5 kg (29.8 lb).

Thanks Stop in time but I know from experiance the early 3 spoke wheels are quite heavy compared to later stuff.

Unfortunately mjgt it's nowhere near you.
It's in Shrewsbury.

A 900 Aluminium swingarm, with a rear wheel still bolted in place with caliper hanger etc etc, plus a dodgy looking shock.
The listing said just this-
"Ducati Swing Arm. Wheel Marxochi Shock. Condition is Used. Dispatched with Royal Mail 1st Class."

But now he's giving me grief because I won't go and collect it!
I'd give up and ask for my money back, but I've got hold of them so cheap I want to find a way to get them to me. Unfortunately the cost of Diesel to collect them would not be worth it.

That is a good price.
It looks to be off an 851 if the wheel is original to it.
You won’t find it easy to get the matching hugger though as it’s the 888 ‘93 Monster style with the four horizontal bolt fixings.

I wouldn’t like to post it for £8.90 though!

Nasher.
Not as much as often described. For the DSS it's just ~ a pound between old three spoke, newer three spoke and cast five spoke.

Yep, I'd agree it's an 851 one.

I did wonder about the £8.90, but never mind.

I need to get UPS to collect it, but have no idea of the weight and I'm sure he'll claim he can't weigh it.

I've got family in Shropshire.
I don't really want to hassle them with going to collect it but if the guy could drop it off in Newport or Telford, I could get it brought over to my place in Leicester.
I'm expecting visits over easter.
Then we could sort something out from there, perhaps ....?
Either postage from here or maybe leapfrogging southwards between club members (though unfortunately, I don't run a car these days).
Or it could sit here until you're coming up this way and could collect it.
As long as you're not in a hurry.

That's very kind, but I think I'm just going to arrange for UPS to drop in and collect it all.

Darkness.
That would be really great, I'd really appreciate your help.
It doesn't have to be accurate, just so long as I don't underestimate the weight when booking.

Ok, on the bathroom scales,
5.5” ‘93 wheel with 180/55 R17 Dunlop Sportmax race scrub, ally swingarm, plastic hugger, steel sprocket, disk and caliper, plus boge shock and spring weighs in at 26.3 Kg.

If I were posting, I would take the wheel and shock off, then pack the wheel in a square 6” deep parcel, and the swingarm, shock and axles in a second box.

For courier i’d Just wrap it in bubble wrap and a few rolls of gaffa tape.
