M900ie ECU change

Hi folks
Has anybody changed the ECU on a 2001 900ie from the square un-flashable single plug to the later ECU fitted to the later bikes with two plugs?

Obviously I will need to build a new loom and have the ECU flashed.

Is there anywhere with a Dyno that can tune the new ECU’s to give bike specific maps?

The Monster 1000, 1000SS, Multistrada 1000, Sport Classic 1000 etc all use the later 2 plug ECU, but are all Duel Spark motors.

It could however be possible to use the wiring loom and ECU but just use single plug coils instead.

But, you'd need to get the immobiliser in the new ECU disabled to let you run the older clocks, as the 1000CC bikes need the combination of ECU and matched clocks to run the immobiliser.

Will have to build a custom loom as everything on my bike is in a different position and I’ve tried modifying an existing loom with dire results due to the crap copper Ducati used making it nearly impossible to solder it. Plus I want to split the injection and ignition into a separate loom from the rest of the electrics to make it easier to hide the wiring. My main worry is getting the new ECU tuned to suit the mods to my engine and exhaust which will have to be done on a dyno.

BSD in Peterborough for Dyno (although there must be a few round Cadwell I imagine)
I worked out the pinouts for early and late (without/with lambda sensors). 5.9ECUs, I’ll have a dig for the link.

Edit: haha! it was in response to one of your previous posts mate

Yes they were the pin outs for the single plug ECU, there are dyno’s local to me but it’s wether they are able to adjust settings with the engine running ie as you can do with a Power Commander. If I can get it done it will tidy up the wiring as I find the installation of the Power Commander is untidy to say the least.
I know the immobiliser can be omitted so I can still use my Koso dash.
