Monster S2R 800

First weekend of polishing,cleaning and general bonding. Added Alphadot security markings and generally took parts off, cleaned put back on and prodded and poked around to see where everything is.

The weather had been perfect recently, it certainly makes the photos look even better

The bike is mainly standard, additional bits are the tail tidy, led indicators, heated grips and some serious looking crash bobbins. I have no intention of doing any mods to the bike at the present and like the look of it as it is.

looks great!! very clean and tidy.

Need to get me some red cable ties... took me a minute to figure out why your frame looked so much neater than mine?!

Really?

Cleaning and unbolting parts is a great way of getting to know your bike.

BTW - your blinkers aren't LED. When you take the glass off to see if I'm correct - can you please tell me if there are reflectors or just a stand alone bulb?

It looks very lovely. Did you sort out the brakes?

And are you sure you don't want to do any mods?

The bike is booked in for brakes at Rosso Corse on Wednesday, hopefully a quick and cheap fix.

Ops, will check about the indicators and let you know.

The cable ties in red is such a simple and clever idea, loosing the black ties is such a simple idea and really improves the look of the frame

Yours looks so clean!!

You have to swap out the cans at least

Indicators definitely not LED, be careful not to overtighten and crack the lenses (or lose the tiny screws) they are super expensive and rare as rockinghorse ****.

Nice tidy bike but then if it belonged to singletrack, I'm not surprised.

No Rob - it wasn't mine, but looks just as well looked after, and almost a nice as my first S2R.

I bought the bike from jonnie comet from here. Previous owners were all in Scotland, previous 2 owners before that were both ladies.

Thanks, the rear wheel is a joy to clean, easy access and nothing to get in the way, the front wheel?.......nightmare, the spokes have drainage slots in them, very tricky to get into all the corners

cleaned the wheels andthen hastily used wet lube on my chain on sunday morining, 70 miles later the rear wheel and swingarm looked like a jackson pollock painting
