Love hearing things like this- gives us all hope if the Government doesn't make motorcycling a crime before then.
My mates' Dad is eighty two and still riding his 1994 Triumph on tours of Scotland and the Lakes while having a 'lighter' Yamaha for more local trips. But to be honest you only have to look at some of the classic club racing to see some real characters- when I raced a couple of years back there was a chap called Brian Foster who bought his Cotton Telstar new in 1964 and apart from a few years in the late '70's and '80's when there wasn't a competitive class he's raced it ever since. Or Les Judkins who at 83 was still racing before 'stepping down' to parading after being given a lifetime membership of the CRMC. An absolute legend and one of the nicest chaps you could ever meet with more stories than a Library. https://www.burtonlatimer.info/sport...20judkins.html

Great stuff . My dad is 70 and has half a dozen bikes and is always out . Had nine days away with him a couple of years ago riding back from Spain . He probably rides quicker than me also .
His mate 'Rocket Ron ' is 85 and out on a bike all the time also . |

Managing to 'get my leg over' Norah (M900ie) and herself (wife) at least once a week at the moment!
Don't know how much time I have left but will struggle on - 78 in a few months. |
