i'm working from home, and pretty bored as there is little going on at the moment. I tidied up the monster over winter so not much to do. The garage is very tidy now! Mrs C is working and needs the car, so the Multi gets the odd run to the super market for provisions. I am sure that will be frowned upon, but needs must.

Yea, you can't subject the Monster to such mundane duties as shopping runs, that's what a Multi is for

Just before the outbreak, i bought a gilera nexus 300 to go to work on....doh!
My last working day was monday. There was a small list to do on it. That list has suddenly grown! Might aswell whilst off.
Front end is off to do the fork seals. Waiting for a 19mm allen socket to arrive.
New disc and pads. Front tyres off to paint the wheel. ( all prepped).
Bodywork is off tho repair a few cracks. Now plastic welded and hot stapled together. Tidied up ready for primer.
Front caliper to clean and exhaust to rub down. Just ordered some Wurth black heat resistant paint.
Enjoying being able to just get on with and not getting broken off.

Well it's unusually quiet on here, so everyone I suppose must be busy in the garage fettling and polishing.

Managed to use my bike today for essential groceries.

My winter mods have worked out excellently.

My new Brembo pads are incredible and they’re not even bedded in yet.

And my new chain and sprockets (42t on the rear) is excellent. Feels more like a hypermotard now. Absolutely insane how much fun it is.

If your bored and want to get out join your local Blood Bike group, it's great to get out and ride a bike thats not yours, while doing something good for your local NHS trust.

That's very worthy, but you're not going to just roll up and jump on a blood bike. They have to be very qualified advanced riders. Up to blues and twos level I think, but unfortunately although the bikes have the lights and hooters, they are not "allowed" to use them. The chairman of the Norfolk blood bikes is an old club mate of mine.. Definitely worth looking into. (If you like riding over dressed beemers!)

Correct you do need an advanced qualification but most groups now allow you to use your own bike and many also have cars. Neither of these two options require an advanced qualification so you could get out and about quite quickly.

In normal circumstances most Blood Bike groups will train you FOC to get you to test level. Always an option for later days....

Cheers Leamreject - I just hit the link and my normal commute(not the one to the home office) looks to go with a hundred meters of my local group. I put a volunteering request in to see if they need help. Thanks
