Yes, just wait til you feel the difference that a pair of lightweight wheels makes.
Its astounding.

Visually, they look superb too.

Bored yesterday so rubbed down the exhaust brackets and sprayed them up in satin black as that was the only colour I had at home apart from a bizzare green colour which I have no idea why I would have it! . Gave them three coats and I think they look good, considering I don't know what I'm doing !

I'm sure you'll notice a difference in agility - just don't steer it into the kerb at the first roundabout!
D'yer know what? I'm gonna have to redact my comments regarding the red wheel tape because I actually think it looks ok on that bike, with those wheels. They are really nice wheels anyway so they didn't really need it, but it works anyway. I would have just gone with the 'Marchesini Forged' stickers if I wanted to show off, and why not if it's correct? So I take it back.

there’s a world of difference between factory painted pinstripes and some bits of tape from ebay that almost line up

Little bit more fettling today . Removed the red front wheel nut and got busy with the autosol on the old one . very surprised how well it came up . Also removed the rear wheel nut and sprocket side nut and cleaned them up and refitted, just forgot to take a pic! .

After doing the can hangers the other week, decided to have a go at doing the headlight shell . I'm pleased with how it came out .

Nice job, Colin.

Once you go black, you won't go back!

Looks great. Out of interest what did you use to do it materials wise? I’m tempted to go do the same. I sprayed up the two frame plugs and two seat cowl bolts the other day with some matte black stove paint I had just to make them a bit better looking

I used some 800 grit wet and dry to lightly rub down the shell. Then two coats of Halfords grey primer. Then about four light coats of Halfords satin black. I didn't lacquer it as I didn't want it shiny.
Hope that helps.
