Bought an 821 Tail tidy.

Bought an 821 Tail tidy from Evotech, just waiting for it to arrive.

Installation instructions look easy enough to follow, is it straight forward enough?

I'm guessing that I will either have to swap my reg plate for a smaller but still legal size or trim down the original?

Cheers.

Buy another not worth the effort of screwing a legal one up for 12 quid. You may one day need a legal one I use 8 X 6 never got questioned.

Yea, I think so. If you happen to know what the legal letter size is I can check mine but I think the letter size is what they are more concerned with for cameras etc, so I think mine are ok in that respect.

Found this.

1. Characters must be 79mm tall

2. Characters (except the number 1 or letter I) must be
50mm wide

3. The character stroke (the thickness of the black print)
must be 14mm

4. The space between characters must be 11mm

5. The space between the age identifier and the random
letters must be 33mm

6. The margins at the top, bottom and side of the plate
must be 11mm

7. Vertical space between the age identifier and the
random numbers must be 19mm

The only reason I ask is I'm guessing that the standard sized reg plate may be too big for the tail tidy, too close to the back tyre?

I've got the Evotech tail tidy and I fitted my original plate until I got a smaller one made up, it does fit ok but smaller looks better.

Thanks for that Pete. Hope to get it fitted this weekend if it turns up.
