Cool

Most Brembo set ups from the same era will fit. I went for a 916 cast iron fully floating set for mine about 17 years ago and they are still doing well.

I switched both master cylinders so they matched and I only had to replace the hoses because the 916 ones were not long enough.

You met my mate Jason then.
I knew him ages through flying model aeroplanes, before I discovered that he was an ace powder coater.
Not only does he build and fly stunning models, but he specialises in coating aluminium, which is a bit trickier to get right than steels. He can do a smashing job to a set of ally wheels. He did a set in a glow-in-the-dark coating on his MR2, which we still take the Michael about..

He can also do the much famed Mirror chrome finish that Aerocoat claim to have invented.... Top bloke..

Yes him lol! I remember him talking about his models, didn’t realise you two knew each other, I might have got a smidge more off the price

I messaged him today on FB asking for the colour code of the yellow he used, even though it was over a year ago, he knew off the top of his head! Easier for me to buy a touch up stick for a few nasty chips.

It’s the little things which keep adding to the cost...

It always is- you only have to look back through some of my previous posts on the refresh of my 1997 900 to see: new oil cooler rubber mounts here, aluminium fuel sender nut there, a little splash of Titanium disc bolts, followed by a helping of new fuel lines.

It never really stops and the older they get the more they need tinkering with.

I have to admit, I bought titanium brake disc bolts for mine. They were cheaper than the genuine bolts from Ducati

Bit by bit, she's coming back together. Engine isn't as clean as I want but I can clean up the other engine slow time.

Cool

Of my 5 motorbikes only one is on the road but two are complete. After orders from the wife one is for sale.

The good news is when my eldest passes her test she will be an M600 owner, bike No6, because it you don’t tell the wife she won’t find out!!!!!

So far:

Monster (944 ST2 engine rebuild)
750 SS Cafe Racer (900 engine) complete
916 Standard-ish
996 Being refreshed for sale
ST2 Being made into a 900 carbed cafe racer

Hidden ones:

M600 rebuilt for daughter
748 race bike in bits

Now if your wife wants a 996 for a snip, I can do that for her.
