Leaking mixture screw

I've been recommissioning my 96 M600 after sitting in the shed for 8 years. I've cleaned the carbs out and got it running sweetly but there appears to be a leak from one of the mixture screws. Any ideas what could cause this?

Do you mean the screw at 14 on the attached diagram?



If so, there's a small o-ring (no. 11), which could well have perished after eight years so maybe that needs replacing?

Perfect, I don't remember seeing that o ring so maybe it's gone! I'll order a new pair.

Make sure that's it a synthetic material and ethanol resistant or it'll just melt away

Yep- should be able to get them in FKM (Viton) here:

Looks like you'll need an OR-005 (the Ducati part no. is 13440151A).

But you might want to think about replacing all the seals/gaskets with viton alternatives and also the float valve with a viton-tipped item, see here:
