Noise Reduction Advice Please

I have just brought a loverly S4RS with both factory and aftermarket exhausts.

The aftermarket exhaust is a Toro 1 GP (see link) it is very loud and I am looking for db killers and wadding to try and make it a bit less hooligan.

I have contacted Toro directly and they say they do not do db killers for this end can.
Can anyone give me some tips on noise reduction please?

Looking at the odd shape you will need to find a metal folding company or make a set yourself.
If you look at Termis for example they have a hole in them so the DB killer can be bolted in.
Means these are GP cans and no killer made probably no bolt hole
Probally cheaper to buy a good set of ear plugs and remember the old moto LOUD PIPES SAVE LIVES.

I needed a baffle for a SC Project exhaust once…it was a race only can.

I found a baffle on-line that Was 1mm too big, got it machined down and it fitted perfectly. Was the mapping ruined! Dunno.

Sold it not long after.

As Duncan says, modifying the can with a mounting hole for the locking bolt is the tricky bit, finding a db killer is relatively easy.

The hex cone exhaust looks remarkably similar to the Remus hypercone & db killers are available for those. Happy to measure the dimensions of mine if it helps.

I think if they are not round internally then you are going to struggle to find any dB killers that will fit but tbh I wouldn't worry too much unless you have an MOT failure in which case then maybe go elsewhere. Never heard of those exhausts so you may have to get some made specifically which will be £££'s

There are three sizes available. You would have to chop off the reducing sleeve part of it and then TIG it onto the end of the exhaust pipe assuming you could get one to match the diameter of your pipe.

That's probably more faff than starting fresh with some correctly sized perforated tube?

With the right fabrication, you could probably make it into an 'insert' that fits in the union between pipe and can? That way it would be easily removable...

That's how the baffles that I linked to work, but only if the silencer is oversize. They incorporate a reducer as well.
Jim's silencers fit the pipe properly, so I think the baffle would have to be welded inside the pipe? Four equidistant tacks would probably hold it okay and be easy to grind off if needs be... All out of sight inside the can anyway.
