Who ever said Ducati's were expensive for parts!?

Just been to Ducati Coventry and bought an air filter (£6.94), fuel filter (£2.95), set of spark flugs (£5.09) and 4 rocker cover gaskets (£3.74). Total cost, £18.72 excluding VAT, £21.99 including VAT. Bargain if you ask me!!

A word of advice aswell, just cos its on ebay doesnt mean its cheap, I paid £15 excluding delivery for an air filter, £2.50 + £1 postage per rocker cover gasket, thats a total of £13 for the four, which cost me less than £4 at Ducati.

An official Ducati dealer is never more than a phone call away, and they will post to your address. And an extra bonus, u get a nice Ducati invoice to go with ur bikes history.

Absolutely, when I need a bit my first call is to my local dealer, and time and time again I find the cost of new bits from the official dealer is actually less than second hand bits on ebay! Recently had to buy a new starter solenoid - £23. Speedo drive, £24, speedo cable for my 900SSie was all of £2.38!!!!

I just bought 4 off of poor old fleabay for £6 + £3 postage, which isn't too bad

I got an air filter from Ducati Wolverhampton for £8 ish, and a full set of Ducati clutch and steel plates for just over £100 (most interweb places were asking £50 more!!)

Dealers aren't that bad in the price war. But remember to shop around

yeah a lot of stuff on Fleabay is overpriced compared to main dealers.

They are the original ones specified in the manual, and funny enough the spark plug spanner in my duke tool kit under the seat actually fits now! It never did with NGK plugs. They are Champion RA 4 HC.

£5.09 is about right for std retail price for those Chumpion plugs

(tho not from some Ducati stores).

The listed NGK plug in any motor factor that has the motorcycle listing (which a lot do) - the plug spanner will fit the listed plugs (tho not the old NGK plugs).
You can use a normal plug spanner for all the bikes except the twin sparks and 4 valves.

Worth knowing is that Ducati have been fitting NGK's at the factory for over a year now
