Penetrating fluids
This may help - I collect and restore old model aircraft engines, some of my older examples were built in the 1930's. I'm often dealing with seized and corroded parts, however on a web site I use there was an experiment to find the best fluid for freeing rusted parts and the absolute best (far better than anything available commercially) was a mix of acetone and automatic transmission fluid, 50/50.
I can try and find the link if anybody is interested. Martin |
