Nae wife, and it's down the drain now... but I'll keep that in mind for next time. In saying that, £2 for 5L de-ionised water from ASDA isn't too bad (could probably get it elsewhere in bulk a bit cheaper if I plan ahead better).

Though I have an (unheated) ultrasonic bath, I rarely use it because I do just as well cleaning carbs using industrial methylated spirits and small brushes. Interdental TePe brushes are great for holes and tubes.

IIRC, your ultrasonics may soon be used for a trio of carbs? My 1976 Suzuki GT550 2T is now all back together and just awaiting some shifting-around of the garage contents to allow it to generate clouds of smoke outside for the first time in 5 years! Assuming it will start, of course. This week has seen the epoxy lining of the rusty tank and a full service of the petrol tap: jobs I hadn't anticipated. It does look good, and so different from all the 4T vees and singles around it, and the sound will be absolute music!

Oh lucky you, my 73 GT550 is barely a twinkle in my eye and a bunch of parts in the garage at the moment!
