1200S spotted FS in Basingstoke - Unreal !
Hi All,
Went into Motts in Basingstoke today, and bought a jacket. They're a Yamaha dealer..... They had a lot of great deals on new & s/h bikes, but they has a Monster 1200S the likes of which I've never seen. DRIPPING with Carbon and Rizoma - it was like the whole bike had been "carbon-ized!! Truly special......... It's a '14 Reg with 3,500 miles and FDSH, tyres as new. I was very tempted, but too much power for me. It was just in td, with no price on, so I asked and they said "around £8k". If anyone's interested........... Obv, I have no affilatiation to bike, nor Motts. Just thought someone might be in the market......... Best Starla |

There's only as much power in use as you care to use and you adapt really quickly.
Years ago I jumped off a Honda 250K4 and clambered up onto a Jota.. There was an ever so slight difference there, the power part was actually OK the height of the bloody heavy beast quite another. Sounds like you are a bit taken by it, best advice is ...

1200R is one of the easiest bikes to ride that I’ve ever owned.
Sure... loads of power ( and honestly more than I can ever exploit fully on the road) - but you control your right wrist to dictate the level of lunacy.. Give it a go would be my guidance if you like the look and have the pennies...you won’t be disappointed... |
