1200S spotted FS in Basingstoke - Unreal !

Hi All,

Went into Motts in Basingstoke today, and bought a jacket. They're a Yamaha dealer.....

They had a lot of great deals on new & s/h bikes, but they has a Monster 1200S the likes of which I've never seen. DRIPPING with Carbon and Rizoma - it was like the whole bike had been "carbon-ized!! Truly special.........

It's a '14 Reg with 3,500 miles and FDSH, tyres as new. I was very tempted, but too much power for me.

It was just in td, with no price on, so I asked and they said "around £8k". If anyone's interested...........

Obv, I have no affilatiation to bike, nor Motts. Just thought someone might be in the market.........

Best

There's only as much power in use as you care to use and you adapt really quickly.
Years ago I jumped off a Honda 250K4 and clambered up onto a Jota.. There was an ever so slight difference there, the power part was actually OK the height of the bloody heavy beast quite another.
Sounds like you are a bit taken by it, best advice is ...

1200R is one of the easiest bikes to ride that I’ve ever owned.

Sure... loads of power ( and honestly more than I can ever exploit fully on the road) - but you control your right wrist to dictate the level of lunacy..

Give it a go would be my guidance if you like the look and have the pennies...you won’t be disappointed...

I’ll second that but my self restraint is lacking....

You just need a mod similar to this...
