m1100s 1100 evo levers ???

hi anyone upgraded there levers ? some nice "looking" one's on ebay etched ducati , but don't want rubbish ,anyone got them or others that they would recommend ? cant find Lud's pics to have a look lol , thanks guys * ) ohh also my UKMOC decal's on wheels are starting to degrade ,were on the bike when I got it look nice but need new one's how'd you get those ?

I've got ASV levers on the Evo (BRC550-S & CRC550-S) (https://asvinventions.com/c5-series-...-lever-brc550/). Beautifully engineered and manufactured. 4 inch span adjustment with 180 clicks between max and min.

They are also claimed to be unbreakable as they are designed to pivot forward in the event that the bike falls over. I've not tested that claim yet and I don't intend to either!

Before that, I had CRG levers on my S2R. They were also nicely made but only had five or six different span options. The CRG have been widely copied by the Chinese but I haven't seen any ASV copies yet. Some of the Chinese levers seem quite well made - it's the quality of their anodising that seems to attract criticism in that it will fade or discolour quite quickly especially if exposed to a lot of sunlight. I suppose if you went for a natural silver though, that shouldn't be an issue.

Use the Chinese levers on my Evo, no issues with them and that includes trackday use.

My brother in-law got some lextech levers at the Nec show last year for his Street Triple and they seem pretty good quality for about £30 so they could be worth a look.

I bought dsome Chinese levers £25. They were span and length adjustable AND folding. I liked the folding idea because I wanted to avoid the dmaging stress on my master cylinders when the bike falls over ( I think this may have happened on my 696 because when I replaced a damaged stock lever it was a bit looser than before the accident, lucky not to have snapped the mounting.) BUT I have since replaced the standard levers. The geometry of the cheap levers was sufficiently different from standard to give me a hand strain and much less clutch control around the bite point. Also, the cheap levers required quite a bit of fitting. The spigot hole needed enlarging to prevent binding and it needed relief where it was interfering with the adjusting nut on the push rod. These are quite subtle but very important adjustments if things are to be safe and smooth. Lastly, they looked like cheap crap. I liked the look of the Oberon levers, and they supply spares if required but really the stock levers are now my favourites and I have got this whole idea out of my system!

Vince did you buy the eBay levers in the end? Are they any good? Just realised the link you posted is for a place 5 minutes down the road from me only after I went past today and looked them up only to spot them same levers you posted about

hiya Rrawlings , yep been on for a while and seem fine not the tightest of components put together but work fine adjust ok and look nice so for the money there ok id say .. * )

They look good Vince along with the rest of your 1100. I think I’m going to order some because the adjuster on my clutch lever has stopped working and the lever rattles about all over. Thought about taking it off and soaking it in some fluid but remembered you bought these. I’m not a fan of short levers even though I only use two fingers most of the time it’s nice to have the ability for more
