Just heard the news this evening, can't believe it. Geoff was an absolute star, such a lovely bloke. Really pleased he got to enjoy the weekender. Geoff phoned me to let me know the dates had changed but we were away in Genoa so couldn't make it. Completley gutted. A real gent.
So sorry for your loss Paul and Babs ❤

So sorry to read this. UKMOC won't be the same without Geoff's warmth, cheek, and very shiny beautifully modified bikes. It seems fitting that his final days encompassed a very successful UKMOC Weekender, especially with the trip to Portmeirion (which was somewhere I knew he'd been keen to take the Monsteristi since previous Welsh Weekenders were being planned).

I heard the news from Capo yesterday and couldn't believe what I read.

Geoff sounded so upbeat and positive when we spoke last week, so the news came as a real shock.

Geoff was a great friend and had helped me through some bad times, with such an infectious laugh, who couldn't be cheered up by him.

My thoughts go to Babs and family at such a sad time.

Next time I hear thunder I'll know it's Geoff just starting a Ducati from his place in heaven.

Keep 'er lit The Duke Of Merseyside.

Just logged on to see this and am totally stunned. Although I never got to meet him, I had many email conversations with him and some great banter. He also helped me out, at no charge I may add, with some parts I'd struggled to find. My heart goes out to Geoff's family, you must have been so proud of him. My he rest in peace..

This is such sad news. Geoff was one of a kind, a true gentleman and everyone whoever met him, loved him. He always made time for people and took a genuine interest in their world no matter what.

I didn't see him that often in recent years, but when I did his company was always a delight. Ever ready with an amazing tale or story, he captivated and entertained his audience with great humour, warmth and an infectious smile. Sadly, I couldn't make the Weekender this year due to surgery, but I understand he was on top form, doing what he loved with people that he loved.

Perhaps in the fullness of time, the club can mark his passing in some way, it would be a fitting tribute for someone who was a marvellous ambassador for both UKMOC and Ducati.

My thoughts are with Barbara, Paul and the whole family at this very sad time.

Ride free Geoff, I shall miss you very much.

Oh no! What awful news. He was a great guy and so genuine & helpful. He told us both several fab stories during this Weekender. He was very kind to Tracey and I too. What a tragedy and we feel the loss. RIP my good man, from us both.

I was wondering if there was an announcement yet as to when Geoff's funeral might be held.
I've spoken to several guys who live down in the South who would like to attend and pay our respects. Some of Geoff's Belgium friends have also expressed wishing to come.
If the funeral is a family only ceremony, this would obviously be respected.

Keep an eye on on the Ducati Manchester Facebook page, they are planning the biggest ever Ducati rideout at an appropriate time in honour of Geoff

First off, we would like to thank you for all your thoughts and kind words.
We haven’t yet finalised the plans but we have booked the crematorium at Walton Lea crem near Warrington (WA4 6TB) for Tuesday 21st at 1pm.
We will have the final details sorted within the next couple of days and will update you then.

Below are the details of Geoff’s funeral.
The cremation will be held at Walton Lea Crematorium, Chester Road, Walton, Warrington, WA4 6TB at 1pm on Tuesday 21st May, followed by a gathering with light refreshments at The Lymm Hotel,
‪Whitbarrow Road , Lymm, WA13 9AQ.‬

‪We ask for no flowers, but if people wish to donate, there will a collection at the rear of the crematorium for the Northwest Air Ambulance. We want this to be a celebration of Geoff’s life so therefore we ask people if they prefer to wear non black, then we are happy for them to do so.‬

‪There will be a motorcycle cortège following the funeral cars leaving from widnes. We have kindly been given permission for the motorcyclists to meet up around midday, at Parkland Sports Club, ‬Parklands House, 16 Parklands, Widnes WA8 4NQ,
Should people arrive early, the club house may be open for anyone wanting tea or coffee.
‪There is also a planned meet up at the Ducati Manchester shop, departing 11am prompt‬ for Parklands
To get to the crematorium from widnes, we will be passing over the mersey gateway bridge, and for motorcycles there is no toll fee.
