I've had designs on the new Tuono for a while - apart from lack of time to ride my current bikes, I've resisted because the thought of riding at the speeds its capable of for any length of time, without a decent fairing, leaves me thinking major neck ache - looking at the Duc, even static, makes me think it will just plain rip your head off... I really want one now :-)

Shame its so ugly the V4 idea is lovely ,, the execution is Minging its actually more ugly than the excellent Tuono , modern designers have to go to specsavers

Actually Ducati have done ‘an Aprilia’ with the V4 and just stripped a Pani’ to get a prototype ready quickly. Early V2 Tuono’s were horrid, with catch bottles etc exposed, The original streetfighter was elegant by comparison, with neat little covers and everything tidied up.

Ducati have released a short teaser video here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVlbVgyMlHc

But I think the bike is in danger of being upstaged by the road!!

The bike would look a bit better without those things sticking out on each side. What are they for anyway?

That's the aero - supposedly to provide downforce and stop the front lifting at speed.

For anyone interested in following the Streetfighter's performance at Pikes Peak, there's a daily update from the rider, Carlin Dunne, on YouTube. The first one is here:

Day 3:

Fastest time again. I see there's also a Zero electric bike running, which came in only 15 seconds behind the V4 (admittedly on a short two-and-a-half minute section but, still...).
