2018 Monster remap
Has anyone had a 2018 or later Monster remapped? If so where and has it been beneficial.
I've put my Werkes GP pipe back on with a baffle to reduce some of the noise but I still get some backfiring on deacceleration… Baffle required as I'm off to black forest in a couple of weeks and don't want any unwanted attention from the feds!!! Also just replaced original rosso 111 with Bridgestone S20 evo, I got nearly 3000 out of the rear which isn't bad. must getting slow in my old age!!! |

I owned a monster 1200 before the 1200r, to which a Werkes exhaust was fitted ( which is now in the 1200r). This was a couple of years ago.
To improve the overall running of the 1200, I spoke to several tuners about having a custom map installed. At the time the only people who claimed they could achieve this was Dave Woods of Aylesbury. Who i believe have moved. I spoke to two other tuners, who claimed the only way to change the mapping as to send the ecu to Rexxer in Germany for a generic 're map. This may have changed in the past couple of years, so worth phoning around.

There are plenty of Rexxer map dealers in the UK, if JHP can not do it there is Neil at Cornerspeed Ducati who does it drive in or postal, give him a ring.

Bang on the money Rollo, quick call/email to Nellie at Cornerspeed to confirm and away you go, Unless you can get a full dyno run at eg JHP, which would be a better result but £££

As I understand it, the 1200 and 1200S use a different ecu than the R and the encryption is much lower. To my knowledge no one has properly cracked the R to reflash it.

Thanks guys, spoke to corner speed and they can do it but need bike for 48 hours as they need to download existing ECU date and send to rexter who then give an unlock code...…..
