Question Multi Bike Insurance

Does anybody have a recommendation for good companies that provide multi bike insurance policies?

I have been with Ducati Insurance for years and had no problems but my renewal is massive. Over a grand for two bikes with a number of years no claims!

I just use Bennets to cover the 650 single, the M900 and the Mille - less than £150 per year the lot!

Carole Nash do my 3 bikes for 240 a year. But some insurance companies won't touch certain combinations of bikes, so that might be your problem depending on what you have. I couldn't get my RSV and BMW on one policy, but RSV and Monster were no problem.

Never managed to get a multibike insurance, but I always foundthis guys to be cheap enough to have 2 separate policies. Currently the monster (with all mods declared) and the 996 total up to around 220 per year fully comp.

Carole Nash cover six bikes for me on a special rider policy that mixes old with new bikes. It dropped by £500 to a very reasonable £350 fully comp when I added a bike from 1971. It changes the policy to include what is now classed as vintage (40 years plus). Well worth buying an old bike for the saving! Mine isn't even road registered, it's insured on the chassis number.

I use Carole Nash for my road bikes (I think they will cover up to five bikes on one policy)

I've had the Monster and my Vespa (P200E) insured for years with them as I have always found them to be competitive and efficient (plus include European breakdown cover).

Odd though as when I added (firstly) my DR350 to the policy the premium came down by £30 to £140 Fully Comp a few months later the DR was stolen from me (at knife point- yes really!!) so I replaced it by a T-Max which put the premium up by an extra £20. Sold the T-Max and it came down by £40- making my renewal £120 Fully Comp with protected no claims bonus for the Monster and the Vespa -I can't work it out either but there you go that's insurance companies for you.

Carole Nash won't insure my race bike though so for that I use these lovely people-
http://www.4counties.co.uk/
who are worth thinking about if you do track days or race as they cover for medical and transport home (if you can't drive after an off for example) as well as the bike and also if you have a new bike they do much cheaper GAP cover than any dealer.

Thanks for the info that is really useful.

The rise in my costs is apparently due to the underwriters for Ducati Insurance increasing costs for some postcodes including my part of Leeds.

Is it correct that you can only use your no claims discount on one bike? If so then the multi bike policy is the way to go rather than separate policies.

Never heard of that one. I declared my NC for both bikes.

I use Ebike insurance, they'll cover up to 4 bikes I think. For my tiger 800 it was £340 ( my first big bike no NCB , first bike insurance for 25+ yrs ) fully comp, not garaged, and to add my monster cost me £30 , didn't think it was too bad . So come next month renewal should be cheaper still ( not such a bargain as some on here, but I'm happy with it ) . I think it does pay to change insurance companies every so often as they seem to do all the good deals for new customers.
