What's on in Wiltshire in 2011?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As many of us have joined in with the Hampsters from across the border and had good times and ride outs, it makes sense to do so for this year as well. We have got together and come up with an itenary that looks like this: - Shows/Events January 2nd - Brekkie at Hilltop near Salisbury, to get over hang overs from New Years eve parties April 3rd - Wootton Bassett Run http://shop.afghanheroes.org.uk/ror2011.asp (Most are booked in for either 9am or 10am start times) April 16th - Bristol Italian day http://www.biamf.co.uk/ April 30th - Brooklands (Italian day ) http://www.brooklandsmuseum.com/index.php?/events May 21-22nd - Ducati weekend at Silverstone. Full details to follow. May 27-30th - Arrow Mill http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/s...ad.php?t=39525 May 30th - Thruxton BSB http://www.britishsuperbike.com/events.aspx (Clashes with the above) June 12th - Wiltshire White Horse run. Ride around all the white horses in one day and stop for lunch. TBC. Popham Mega Meet 21st August 2011
D1ck Richardson (Airfield Manager) has again kindly agreed to Free Passes for all Ducatis. For your free pass please send a self addressed stamped envelope to: D1ck Richardson, Popham Airfield, Winchester, SO213BD There will be a DUCATI only parking area inside the show ground so you don't need to park in the outside car park, just ride down to the entrance and show your pass. We are normally located at the top of the hill by the marquees. See you all there. 1=i

As well as the White Horses, Cerne Abbas giant and the stones, I found a new chalk one today (new to me anyway). It is a Kiwi in chalk on the side of a hill. It was done for New Zealands support in the 2nd world war. Amazing what you find when routing around Salisbury Plain.
