Has anybody...
Hi Guys,
Has anybody dyno'd and then tuned a monster 1200s, I quite like the look of the new black s that's available in dealers. I have heard/seen some dyno sheets that are showing some bikes as low as 130bhp. Any thoughts? Anybody ridden an 1100/evo then a 1200s? .....I may actually get murdered for this I have my 1100evo, VFR and R6 track bike. Another bike could result in death by wife. Thanks in advance guys |

I gave up my Evo for a 1200s
completely different two bikes, with hindsight, on the roads we travel the 1200 doesnt do anymore if your hitting main roads all the time then they are great, but tight and twisty the evo is much easier imho

Interesting thread.
I'm in the process obtaining costs to have the ecu on my 12r tweaked. Up until recently, the only way The way could be 're configured was to remove it, post The unit to Rexxer, who fitted a generic map, then refit and ride. Rexxer agents can now break into the unit with a code supplied, by Rexxer, then tweak to suit your requirements. m aim is to need up the mid range, find a few more horses and have the exhaust valve locked open. The claimed output for the 12r is 160 bhp. Once I've settled in who/where the bike will go and have the results, the details will be popped in the forum.

Neil at Cornerspeed is a Rexxer agent & thoroughly recommended. Not too far away from you.

The Ducati number is also at the crank not the rear wheel. With drive train losses considering I've seen numbers between 5% and 15% quoted for drive train loss on a bike 147hp at the crank bike could easily dyno at right around 130 at the rear wheel quite apart from the variability of the dynos.

Exactly my thoughts bigoz. Just that I’d really like it to be up towards the 150 area. So think tune to bring it up a bit would be nice.

Seat height is an issue for my wee legs unfortunately. If an R was an option seat height wise an 899 and SFV4 would be in the mix also. Sadly they just won’t work for me.
