NEC show in about 3 weeks, if you’re planning on going don’t buy bits at RRP beforehand.

In the past I probably would have done just that but last time I went, 2 years ago, I was disappointed by the lack of genuine bargains and the show itself. There’s one on eBay from a breakers for £60 that looks fairly new I.e no visible marks on it so I’ve offered £50. Can anyone suggest anything else or is Oberon the way to go?

I've run an Oberon with no issues for a few years, but lots of folk use FactoryRacing slaves. They have a bit more mechanical advantage than the Oberon and are a little cheaper too. They have special offers every now and then.

+2 for factory racing. I've had mine on for a good few years now with no issues.
