Yes! They had it for sale 2 weeks ago because I nearly bought it!
I ordered my red 696+ from Snells in Alton in early April and was told mid-end May delivery. At the end of May I was told mid-end June..... No exact date.... So on 29th May I emailed EVERY dealer in the south within 100 miles or so and found that Winchester one and a newly cancelled order at CMW in Chichester. I cancelled my order at Snells and bought the CMW one the next day, about 2 hours after recieving a reply from them! I was on holiday the day after and returned yesterday and picked my bike up this morning and rode her 125 miles to work! TBH I really didn't want to cancel my order at Snells because they seem good guys, and if they had been able to give me a firm date I may not have cancelled. But with no firm date I really had no choice...... Worth waiting for though. Don't bother with the KTM, Walpole! Last edited by PeterPoddy; 16-06-2008 at 02:00 PM.. |

All good stuff - plenty of Summer left.
I've got exactly 1200 miles on mine this evening, if your experience is like mine, you'll love the 696 |

Delivery!
Heard mine arrived last Friday. PDI today collect tomorrow! Just as a reminder mine was ordered mid March. Red. Have asked for Termi cans; anyone sticking with the standard pipes or made a choice on something different? Josh.

I plumped for the Termi carbon cans at £682. It seems a lot I know but the titanium are even dearer. with hindsight I might have gone for the stainless steel ones but sod it arrives tomorrow and the most important thing is that it sounds the part even when I'm having to tool round at zero rpm for a while. just for completeness it took 13 weeks from placing order to delivery. Anyone out there had any experience of dealing with Ducati Manchester before (before I say my bit about them)? Josh

Prices for the Termi cans ?????
What price are people paying for these termis ????? ive heard from £800 to £600, who's got them and how much did you pay ?, i think the stock cans sound ok, but are not the best looking cans ive seen, and obvisiously there's the weight issue too.Would i be right in saying the stock cans are manufactured by Remus?

you are wrong PP If we really were into the label thing would we really do things like this:
I love the sound of my Termi's and it really does give a ducati its distinctive deep roar. I live in a town with one of the biggest Harley dealers in the country and it's all I get all day out of my office window but when a Duke goes by with a proper set of zausts on I just know and have even been out for a fag break just to see it ride by. Maybe you just don't get the Ducati thing... Maybe your signature says it all Wap Wap Waaahh sounds more like a Vespa than a Duke I'm sorry but you may need therapy |

I'd love Termi's for my 696, but can't justify the expense. £700 is a lot of money.

Having bought a 695 in November last year then traded it in for an S4RS Tricolore in March I fitted full race termis and ecu's on both and I dont think there is any other way to go! With the standard cans the 695 sounded rattly and naf but with the termis it released the beast and gave the bike a real bite. As for my S4RS, there is no argument - on the dyno with standard cans it barely reached 128 Bhp, after fitting full termis and ecu, getting rid of the the fat cat underneath, I got 143 on the dyno and the sound of roaring angels -I would mortgage my house and lose the family hierlooms, you have to fit termis, there is simply no other option....I am considering rehab.
