1000ds compatibility?

Okay a barrage of questions really, some of which I half know the answers, hence the asking.

Assuming I wanted to swap a M900ie engine with twin fork swinging arm, for a 1000ds engine, which ones would fit with the least aggro?

Do they have different arrangements for the swinging arm bearings in the M1000, S2R and multis?

Could the 1000ds engine be run on an early 900ie ECU? Maybe with a power commander?

If the 1000ds ECU is needed, can this be used without the associated clock binnacle, or are those needed to complete the brain?

Does the 1000 use different throttle bodies and injectors to the 900 or could the 900 stuff be used?

Exhaust would have to be changed, but what about the air cleaner box?

Just toying with the idea of a heart transplant, but it will probably turn out to be much more trouble than I want to go to. Interested to see what's involved.

Cheers.
