Ducati only supply them as a sevice £75 no stock anyway but ridiculous price ,, asked 4 fuel injector firms but no one know the size for IWM 724 as they are not common type one guy does know the size but he wont tell me as he wants me to send the injector to him for full refurb hmmm ??? I will take the old ones off in Thailand ,I do have a kit of assorted Viton green orings but if its a weird size I may be able to get new ones there ,,
nothing is straightforward

Just out of curiosity, I sent an eBay message to Gotham Cycles asking if they'd tell me the size of those o-rings I linked to earlier. (I know - too much time on my hands!) And, at the other end of the customer service spectrum, they replied... "They are equivalent to Dash Number 203 and Dash Number 210." Which is: 203 ID 7.52mm (+/- 0.13); CS 3.53mm (+/- 0.1). 210 ID 18.65mm (+/- 0.25); CS 3.53mm (+/- 0.1). So the moral of this story seems to be: if you want good customer service, go to the States! |

So what exactly is involved in an injector refurbishment?
I admit to not looking at them very hard, but assumed they are not dismantlable? There is a loose looking clip around them which I think has the colour code and I've never dared to try and pry it off. I just pop them in an ultra-sound cleaner every now and then and have had no problems. There's a local bike shop of of good repute that considers an ultra-sound bath a refurbishment, so if that's the case the only parts needed would be the O-rings.. Is that too simple?

They're not hard to refurbish yourself if you can build some sort of test rig. .
