916/996 style break and clutch master

Hi Guys,

looking to do an upgrade on my old 1993 900 Monster, does anyone have a set of 916 / 996 Brembo brake and clutch master cylinders they wish to part with?

I might have a set in the garage, had them for many years and unlikely to ever use them now as I think I actually prefer the oe ‘coffin’ set up.
I don’t have a value in mind though so you can make me an offer.

I’d need to actually check what they are as I can’t remember buying them.

That's a mod the factory did themselves a few years later so it's ok.

Interesting this one, believe me I'm not trying to be rude, awkward, or anything like it, my musings are a genuine interest.

I actually prefer the 'Coffin' originals, and their clean uncluttered simple look.
But I can fully understand that many will prefer the look of the later separate reservoir jobbies, and how they can be perceived as more modern and 'trick'.
I'd probably want to use them on a project if they went with the theme of the bike.

However I note you've referred to them as an "upgrade".
Is that just to the look, in your opinion, or do they represent an actual upgrade in braking performance?

It’s also non-permanent and can easily be restored to original if/when wanted.

I have a set of brembo radials, they have been used with brembo 4 pot goldline calipers.

Hi Nasher, upgrade in in terms of the "look", also you cant repair the coffin type as far as I'm aware. I will keep the original if I ever want return to original.
