My 1200s

After spending a small fortune on it over winter I thought I would share a couple of pics from its first run out this year.

Quite a lot of extras upto now, just got new tyres fitted, rizoma drag bars and risers, bar end mirrors, remus exhaust, full Evotech protection kit, Evotech tail tidy, loads of carbon, and other bits. Loving riding it at the moment. It's been a dream, touch wood !!!

I hope you like.

Very nice and very powerful. Like the minimalistic things you are doing. Thanks for sharing.

I'm thinking of getting a Remus can, did you literally slip it on or do you have to do other mods, e.g. Ecu?

I like the ĺook of the Remus. What do you think of the sound in comparison to Termi's? After being out with the UKMOC in Belgium,
I NEED more noise!!

We did make some decent bass exhaust notes on that ride though.

Also WEZRVF, I have a few more questions....
have you had to have a remap done in fitting the Remus?
Do you know the weight saving over standard?
Is yours with the CAT or not?
Did you do any comparisons with the likes of Arrow, Akrapovic, Leo Vince or SC Project. They all do a single can replacement.

I've been looking them all up & I like the Arrow & Remus option more than a twin set up.
Could you just nip down to Biggleswade & let me have a look/listen?

Thanks for the comments guys.

Ok, the exhaust. I would say it is slightly louder than the stock and certainly deeper however I haven't yet had the baffle out as it isnt straight forward. If you look in be last pic you can see a really oddly placed Allen bolt that I can't get to but your questions have made me want to hear it removed now. With it in it does have a nice crisp sound though.

The exhaust is about half the weight of the standard I would say, the standard is bloody heavy. A good weight saving.

When I was researching the options I wanted one that had been developed to run with the Monsters stock map. There where only a couple of options. Before buying I talked to Remus, ducati and Moore speed racing and I only heard good things so went with it. Glad I did. I do like it but now want to get that baffle out I got it with the Cat. To be fair, it just feels like it runs exactly the same as with Standard. The Monsters ECU will compensate for the exhaust to a certain extent and it was this range I wanted to stay in. I do like the Termis but at more than twice the price I just couldn't justify it for now.

If you look on YouTube there are a couple of good vids of a chap who has one on his 1200 and it gives quite a good version of the sound.
Hopefully that helps !!!

Hi Wez,

Your 1200s is looking very nice indeed.

After looking at your photos it tipped me over the edge of a decision I have been trying to make for a month or so. I decided to take a rideout to sunny Bournemouth yesterday to Moore Speed Racing (very nice chaps !!) and purchase my own set of Rizoma Drag Bars.

All fitted today and I'm really happy with the results.

Thanks for the inspiration !!

Just the Rizoma fluid pots and indicators to save up for now

Bazread, how are those mirrors??, I have put a set of the cheaper Chinese copy of Rizoma mirrors just to check them out, have made ne above the bars, just wondering what the view is like ith them below.
You can get brake and clutch master cylinder clamps without the mirror mounts from Ducati, found it tidied things up.
