Price? Thinking of selling up

2000 m900sie, in yellow. I'd say the overall condition was average. 15000miles and just serviced including belts and valve clearances. Also just had the engine painted so it looks great. Just also had a full new clutch, including a lightweight basket and fancy pressure plate .Had 2.5kg taken off the flywheel, so it revs really freely and quickly. It obviously has a set of my start cables on it, so it starts quickly on the button. Front calipers just sorted.

Also has a power commander fitted, and mapped to suit the bike. Bike dynoed at 88.2hp......

Finally, the suspension. This has ohlins front and rear, which makes a massive difference to the bike..... It was a costly and time consuming upgrade but well worth it! Clip ons, a new digital dash and an mt03 headlight complete the front and she's a beaut.

The bike has wanted for nothing, and the only reason for sale is because I don't like riding her through the winter, and I can't afford other bike......

What would you pay? It's a great example.

Only way to find out is to put it on eBay, wrong time of year (and it's yellow), you might struggle to get a good price

On a serious note don't expect to get full value for all the 'improvements'. Often it's better to go back to standard and sell off the parts separately.

Pictures ..... ??? I'm sure that'll help. I came to UKMOC when I was looking for my Monster and found one of the member bikes posted for sale through this forum. Words were good but the pic's the previous owner posted made her too good to resist...

Put my 2000 M900S ie on ebay for £3150 and sold it in two hours at £2900 hth

Have a 900ssie with a power commander and ducati performance pipes and it runs 83.5 hp and its not slow and will give 749 a run for the money on a tight road thru the corners

Shop that fitted it know what they are doing and have done dozens of similar set ups on bikes and can readily tell you within 2 horse power before they fit a PC what the outcome will be and have dozens of dyno read outs to back up their work

They have one customers monster up over 105hp but its cost thousands and they would not recommend anybody going down this particular route

It takes more than a power commander to get 88.2hp what else has been done to the motor to get that sort of power

Horse power dosent mean **** in the real world when youre ridding the bike torque and gearing to get from 0 to 120 as fast as possible is what you want

Half vs full exhaust system maybe? A full system with big bore headers properly tuned can get you close to 10% more on a stock motor a half system would be a lot less. A full system will also get you loads more mid range torque which is what really matters in normal road riding conditions as previously pointed out.

It obviously has more than that. Open k&n, polished ports, and a full system back it up. I have dyno printouts before and after fitting the power commander and it picked up 6hp when it was.....obviously the lighter engine internals have freed up power too.....
