Early(1994) swinging arm options?

Hi all, OK has anybody any experience of changing an early Monster swinging arm? What are the potential options? Are there any advantages to using a longer arm i.e. better wheelie control. I saw somebody on here with photos of fitting a 749 S/arm probably to a later frame but I can't remember where the post was, does anybody else know?
Thanks Bitza
