Sprocket holder bearings - removal.

Title says it all. On a 696, need to replace the bearings. They are not coming out! Any suggestions?

How far have you got?

Is the short sprocket side spacer off and have you found and removed the c-clip on the sprocket side? My short spacer has corroded in place and sometimes the clip is covered in grease and not obvious.

Once the c-clip is removed you can press out both bearings by pressing out the long internal spacer from the wheel side then pull the bearings off the spacer once it is out.

Or

Drift the long spacer out from the sprocket side driving toward the wheel side then drift the bearings out individually in the opposite direction.
