Seat Recovered
I have just had my Monster 1100 Evo seat part recovered by Coremotorcycles near Lincoln, will be picking it up in couple of days, you can see it on the facebook page, looks well good.

That looks really good, Chris. Is that alcantara they've used? And have they also changed the profile at all?

yep it is alcantara, did you find the 1 pic or the group of pics???.
The seat is the official lowered seat so came with an alcantara front seat, if you find the group of pics it shows the state of the original after he removed it from the seat unit. He also stitched in the red Ducati logo for me. |

That looks really good . Was it expensive to have done?

Unfortunately, more than was hoped for as the 2 cowl mounting threaded parts don't come out, so they are cut out and new ones needed on top of the recover price and I had the Ducati logo stitched in as well so all in all £170.

Have had my M900 seat recovered in alcantara with waterproof cover underneath - think it cost me £120 locally

Picked my recovered seat up today, impressed to say the least, he has stitched the new Alcantara cover on and has taken the time and effort to stitch it in using the original stitch holes.
Stitched in Ducati logo looks way better than the picture. Discussed with him the reason why price was more than quoted, extra £21 for the cowl mounts and an extra hours work when he tried to remove the original cowl fixing mounts, so who ever goes next to have the same style seat recovered as I did will get it done cheaper, but he did give me an extra discount so very happy. |
