Except you miss the point and the specific causation that some males choose to do this is that their audience is female, which you, as male, will not have experienced in the capacity of being on the receiving end. Obviously.

And it's disingenuous to suggest it's an argumentative or aggressive trait, often it's simply patronising somebody because of their gender, backhanded comments etc.

I'm with you on the cats thing though. Down with cats.

eBay sellers who magically go away working and 'forget' to send the item you've paid hard earned money for although can still magically take pictures and post other items for sale even soo far from home

Key operated Corned Beef tins that eventually require half the tools in the garage to open successfully. And a blessed miracle that you survive unscathed and cut free! I've come off my bike with less injuries than opening psycho CB tins..

Drove my daughter to Greenwich to her music school, the road between the observatory and the river is a complete mess, painted lines everywhere, posts stuck into the pavement every 15 metres and about 300 signs displayed per mile. Christoper Wren would have had apoplexy.

Service companies who provide a telephone help desk where you go through a time consuming and extensive automated menu to be confronted eventually with a person who is not interested and does not know how to solve the problem, they pass you onto another number and the process is repeated. On the third repetition they advise you that you are now being charged for the privelidge. UPS does this ring a bell?
I “solved” the problem by cancelling the order

When people use the phrase "back in the day".......... What day is it ?, I really wish you would tell me!

You have used the word 'THE' which is the definitive article, which means one, in this case it is a specific day!
