Paddock Stand
Changed my 696 for an Evo 1100 so need a single sided stand, can someone tell me what size peg I need? I think some stands offer a chance of varying the peg? BTW , anyone in the West of Scotland need a standard stand.... drop me email.

Crawsue,
I have a paddock stand for my evo, I can put a calliper on it tonight and let you know pin size. It goes in from sprocket side. |

Measurement done.
There is a step in the pin near where it meets the main body of the stand. Stepped section is 26mm then coming down to 22mm. My spindle accepts the 26mm all the way upto the main body of the stand. Measured with a vernier calliper. |

Did you see this ebay item that Darren flagged up in an earlier post?

Identical to mine and a bit of a bargain. Well well over £100 from dealer. And very well made too, totally solid.

Brilliant, guys, my local "man" has a number of stands and it seems some are surplus. Will keep my eye on this eBay item, looks like a deal.
It'll be sitting in the garage now until next Spring but I had LeoVincis on my 696 and it sounded awesome, so planning on a replacement end can....funds permitting.... reading the different forums it appears that the stock cans are quite "fruity" and many find that they need to keep the dB killers in aftermarket cans....anyone got thoughts? |

My 1100evo now has an SC Project can. I found the noise way too much wthout the dB killer (also it would need a remap to make it run properly anyway and then you are stuck with the noise because it might not then run properly with it reinstalled). I like the sound with the dB killer fitted although I wonder if the power is a little down on stock because of the flow restriction. The big advantage is the weight reduction, I hated having 6 kg hanging from that single bolt in the footrest hanger. The can allows easy access to the rear wheel, and it looks nice.
