UPOL re-lacquer

I've just done a re-lacquer on my MONSTER S2R 1000 side panels and front mudguard including new 3D badges...

From this, rubbed down

To this

I've got a few pinholes in the front mudguard:

It's useable for now but I'm wondering if there's a quickish fix for this. I was going to mix some lacquer then wait for it to partially go off and knife it in the holes, rub down, then re-coat. Any other suggestions?

I usually roll masking tape to a cone shape, with a point. Then work a bit of clear into the pinholes, dry it, flat down and respray clear. Try to fill pinholes without trapping air or it can pop if force dried( baked)

This issue got covered here before..

The answer turned out to be brushed coats for me....But then I was using two pack Upol, so I had it in "bulk" form...Tricky if all you have is an aerosol.!

Cheers chaps.

Gazza, I did peruse your thread some time ago. I'm using two part UPOL and have only got a handful of pinholes to deal with so rather than slather it in brush-on paint I will try damiens666's tip as there'lll be no force drying. Sounds like an excellent solution.

When I was getting pin holes in a satin black bumper/trim paint, one of the techniques I tried was to get a sewing needle and kind of poke/prod/scratch the paint into the pinholes.
I guess its similar to the cone of masking tape idea but since you can "scratch" it in, I suppose it tends to find/create a clean surface to bond to, if wax residue etc has been the original cause of the pinholes.
