Termis.

Hi,
When I bought my Monster 696 it came with Termi. exhausts fitted.
I also have the OEM cans along with air filter, a plastic bracket? And an ECU. (Presumably the original).
Question is: What difference if any will this exhaust make to performance?
I know it sounds loud and I don’t particularly like that.
Wondering whether to revert it to standard.
Opinions welcome.
Regards,Ken.

It runs better and smoother with that kit. That means less wear over time.

If you like the sound, but want lower volume - install Db killers.

Excellent- the previous owner was clearly of discerning taste!

I don't understand- what's not to like??

It's a Ducati and that's how they're 'supposed' to sound!

My S2R's standard pipes fell off the other day to join the decat udder and I now have a nice set of Termis in their place
Sound nice and tasty, looks none too bad either

Have to agree what's not to love about them.

Talking about DB Killers - any suggestions on fitting a pair to my Silmoto high level cans.
Only for the MOT of course - need the 'rumble' to keep me awake these days !!

You could try this if you can get the end cap off the "silencer" tube easily

From what I've read on here anecdotally, fitting db killers is fine but they will most likely mess up any fuel map you are be running. So ok for MOT but probably not long term and as you know they sound and run so much better when they can breath better.

As long as your cans aren’t marked ‘Not for road use’ or Race use only’ or such like it’s down to the testers’ discretion. So as long as he (or she) are a reasonable sort who likes a motorcycle to sound like a motorcycle and not a washing machine there shouldn’t be too much of an issue.

The straight through Ferracci cans on my 900 have never caused a problem- maybe the rattle from the open clutch helps!!
