Now I appreciate that cut and weld is the modern way and all these pics show exceptional welds/skill, but I remember watching Nick Paravanni (of Attleborough, Norfolk) pack the pipe with sand, then bend the pipe with heat and a hammer, making those knot-like headers for multi cylinder engines, now that was impressive.

Have seen pipes filled with sand and bent on a mandrel, but can't recall which metal it was.

Years ago when I had some made, the bloke put a large spring in them then bent them using his home made pipe bender.

4 into 4, internal baffles, all done by eye, fitted perfectly.

Just checked and they ceased trading in January...
