I had an 1100 EVO a while back that I traded in for a Tracer so as I could tour with my wife. I always missed the Monster, well yesterday I took delivery of a 2016 1200S (kept the Tracer). Bad timing really as Doris turned up today and ruined a ride out.

It's the worst storm name ever. If I get killed by a storm one day I'd hope it'd have a cool, ominous name. I'd be pissed if I was hurt by a Doris!

before that storm Egbert, Fred, Gertrude, Henry, Isambard. Jeremiah, well can't think of anymore archaic English names for K and L. Maybe some Charles ****ens type characters? Fkn Doris, lol what a sh!t name for a sh!t storm.

Naming UK storms is all a bit over done to me. I understand if its a hurricane (or their equivalent cyclones) where probable loss of life and massive property damage -whole towns washed away or buried following rain induced landslides- occurs.

I wonder if this will be known as Doris Day and a series of old black and white movies will be shown?

Maybe, but I think most of her more well known films made in the 1950's were in colour. Old but not that old.

Its pathetic really, isn't it? I mean lets all go and hide in the cellar while Doris does a fart in our general direction. I think I might have lost a few tiles, but then I wasn't standing around outside waiting for them to fall on my head.

I mean if you want proper scary storms go to the Midwest US, most of the major buildings over there have proper fully stocked storm shelters and for good reason.
