Frustration Rant 4 dead bikes
nice weather is here and I have 4 dead bikes in garage
Johns Royal Enfield bullet 350 has gearbox bother , i can fix it but hitchcocks sent me the wrong parts twice aarrrrgghhh petes totally rebuilt brand new never started 1977 HD shovel head , immaculate custom ,, needs magneto timing and parts for retard unit ,,, and ten full shakedown arrrggghhh Monster 750 needs total carb strip and service arrrgghhhh and now the 750ss which has been my lifesaver the last 4 weeks which i had a glorious ride yesterday , now only running on front cylinder at tickover ,, its fine off idle when hot ,, its a blocked idle jet damn carbs need cleaning again , even though they were done not long ago and tank cleaned and filters changed ,, but the petseal liner is now disintegrating after 8 years what is the solution to that ???? aaarrrrgh think it may be time to give up sell the ducatis and buy a modern bike with EFI like a Suzi GSXF 1000 or a duke Supersport 939 somthing very very thrashable , comfy , great handling and powerful and that i can fix at home oh and my car is being a turd and i have to buy a 125 for my daughter as she has passed her CBT

Having four older bikes that all require work? I like having one to tinker with. Its great to meddle with things in the winter. Then in spring, a full service and ride in the sunshine.

I know whats up with rhe Enfield I want it out as it taking up space ,, parts here tuesday gone soon after until next time ,,as John is mechanicaly inept
cleaned ot the pilot intale jets on the SS , no difference still on one until warmed up then its ridable if tickover set a little high so i can ride it today ....hoorray !!! monster carbs off ,, what could cause a nasty flat spot when accelerating like lack of fuel at 4-5k revs is the question ???? HD waiting for pete's tools to come tommorow and the rolling road so we can bump start it using my car . he will be sharing my garage for more projects ,, could he ride a 900 Monster he weighs 30 stone ??? cos he fancies one ,,,he has serious health issues , 37% lung capacity COPD, spondilitus , degenarative bone disease , gout and a bad attitude we have been mates for 40 years and he is a very good mechanic and custom builder and gunsmith

checked the M750 valve clearances al l still in spec closers all 0.001'' 3 openers 0.004'' and front exhaust opener 0.0055''
clutch and alternator covers off first time in 18 years all is perfect inside , clutch looks great even after 36.000 miles going tosend covers and valve covers for powder coating have to get the sight glass out of the cases ,, safely they seem very expensive to replace , next job reassemble the fuel pump , carbs have been carefully cleaned Enfield is fixed but setting up gear selectors is a bugger ,, even when good its a notchy box full of neutrals and needs carefull clutch work and rev matching going to try and start the HD tommorrow using rolling road ,, im away to noggyland for 2-3 weeks work on wednesday
