A grand…ish day out
So thinking it would be stark raving bonkers to assume Blackadder would fire into life and travel to Newby Hall next week without some sort of warm up, a hastily arranged bimble into Wales was sorted.
Departing from the Royal territory of Wirral with Mark we soon met up with Pezz and headed of through the North Wales roads through Ruthin and beyond to a bikers cafe on the A5 at Cerrigydrudion. Won’t win any prizes for decoration but the customer service is second to none.will be returning again soon, brilliant. We had all ordered and I requested my bacon and egg on a brown barm.she said she only had white left so I said no issue….so when they were served she says ,there you go brown, how come I replied……I nipped to the shop and got brown for you.wow. The little things in life eh. 4BE0559D-D0E6-4AE7-974C-F60BA3F7FC68 by Mike OConnor, on Flickr We parted ways with Pezz at the cafe, some footy match he wanted to watch, mark wanted to see a dam up near Ffestiniog Power Station .clouds were gathering ,cars passing the cafe with wipers on….so what did we do…..we went for it.about 6 miles later we stopped to put the waterproofs on and headed into the hills, with low cloud ,poor visibility and steady rain! Not easy but we got to the power station, not much to see, dived into the cafe to warm up with tea and a cake. There was no letting up with the rain so off we went up to Abergele and onto the A55 where once again we found dry conditions. Great ride out guys, let’s hope next weekend is dry too. 5BFCD449-2F55-47B8-B162-AB948C3879DE by Mike OConnor, on Flickr |

Nice story Mike.. Great stuff.
They do say in every life a little rain must fall, well that's according to some Led Zeppelin lyrics I remember. You just have to get on with it, any ride on a Monster is a good ride I say..

Sounds like a fun day out, especially as Blackadder behaved
The Mrs and I headed to the Norfolk coast for fish and chips, lovely and sunny all day.....I'll get my coat
