Clutch interchange 848 EVO to M900ie?

I know many of the dry clutches interchange/swap freely - does anyone know if the 848 EVO fits the M900 (specifically the ie 2000-2001 models?)

Found a NOS DP slipper clutch for a 848 EVO at a nice price, was wondering if it would fit, as my factory clutch is getting a little tired anyway...

Or would a Busi, Ducabike, Kbike or any of the others be a better buy?

Thanks!

Not a definitive answer I'm afraid but, when I bought a Sigma slipper clutch for my S2R 1000, the model (no. 003) was described as fitting: "All Ducatis with air-cooled clutches since 1990 except 1098/1198", so they must all be pretty similar if not identical.

IIRC there is a spacer which is required for the early or later bikes or not required depending on if fitting it to an early or later model. I think the actual clutch is the same for both at least as far as the 1098. I can't remember which way around though. Is there any info on the Sigma website?

It's only just occurred to me that the original clutch on an 848 would have been wet, wouldn't it? So, ignore what I said earlier about the Sigma clutch.

A quick check of the Kbike dry clutch conversion shows that: "...The hub of the slipper clutch is a special design to accommodate the shorter input shaft of the 848."

Which probably ties in with what Darren said about needing a spacer.

Having read this it sounds to me as if the hub in the 848 kit is different to the standard hub because it has to fit the 848 wet main shaft

Still not really any wiser though.

848 clutch is a wet clutch. M900ie is a dry clutch.. Why would you want to swap them?

The kit was available from DP to do the conversion, as per this bike:
