Tail tidy for m1100

Well m1100 booked in for first service in 2 weeks time as working next weekend. I asked them about the tail tidy as Ryan hs one on his 696. He told me it was around £120 whick I guess is fair being ducati part. Asked dealer to order me one and he said bit deare then that. Try £240 for tail tidy. I know I got bike cheap but thats rip off.Looking at R&G now as they do some crash bungs tht I also. Get all that lot for less than ducati parts.

anyone else got a tail tidy fitted.

I had one on my 696, it twas the official Ducati part, and was around £120. I'm sure it's the same part.

I think you've been misquoted.

Exactly. Maybe it was gold plated plastic. Going to shop round until I get to £120 or get the R&G one. Or what yorkie posted.

I got mine from a dealer too, and thinking about it, I would have also got discount as I bought it with the bike. It does like it's gone up though, presumably with the bike price increases due to the Euro exchange rate.

So, £152 must be the new price, but certainly not £240.

Well exactly what I would expect. As what I did. Please service my bike where I brought it from and how much for that then please. Maybe because I got so much off buying it they are adding £100 everytime. You wait the service bill will be £200

I am going for the EVOTECH tail tidy. It sells for £79.99 and they kindly emailed the fitting instructions and some pics to show the detail of the unit. It looks a decent piece of fabrication for the money so Im going to get one and save the differance between this a Ducati one.
Heres the pics they sent me.

Looks ok doesn't it ??

Seconded - the DP bit *was* a bugger to fit - there are some bolts that need to pass through a sandwich of about 5 layers of parts, all of which need to be simultaneously aligned, not easy, and even harder to do so and get everything neatly aligned.

That evotech part looks easier.
