i bought my first ever brand new bike from Mocheck in Clapham. Guess what a CX 500. By far the best bike I ever owned, commuting and two up to Switzerland, Spain, Portugal and many trips to France without missing a beat. Loved it. One or two recall issues sorted out with no stress at all and at no cost to me. Began to stupidly crave street cred and avoid having to justify it to other people and bought another new bike, a lovely 750 FA from Hartgate, back in the days of container loads of bikes being sold at very good prices. Have not really got a bad thing to say about Honda.

Hi Bitza, The Monster after some teething troubles has been on the road for over an year now, but this Covid event has meant no outings for me recently. There are two tentative events August and September, keeping my fingers crossed that the "second wave" fails to reach the shore here.

Thanks, my £75 burned out Le Mans 1 came out great too, not a lot of it was found lying in a scrap yard. It is believed, as Crust said, to have spat back through it's carbs and set the bike on fire, which is/was a common problem with the Le Mans open bell mouthed carbs.

Unfortunately years ago with one wage, a mortgage, wife and two children and an unexpected large bill, I sold it, that is the way of things unfortunately and it's happened to many of us.
