Playing with the 12r....

So, during lockdown the bank account was tickled for a few parts to fit on to the 12r.
What started as a few nuts and bolts grew into slightly more than expected!

The rest under tray was removed to access the sliver grilles, these were removed and sprayed black.

Next a led rear light was sourced and fitted.

Led indicators were purchased, made by Oxford. I had fitted some Chinese eBay specials, but they weren't very bright. Whilst difficult to show the new ones flash from the inside to outside of the indicator, similar to an Audi!

Next up was a carbon rear mudguard. I'm resisting covering the 12r in carbon as I went down this route with my S4, but, I feel this simple addition sets the bike off nicely.

Next on the list was various nuts and bolts. I'm going for as black a look/ feel as possible, so we're it's practical ever part is being replaced with a black alternative.

One night, whilst surfing ebay, I came across an led headlight. With some detective work I found the manufacturer and purchased direct, which nearly halved the cost !

My latest purchase was a radiator protector, not fitted yet, should by the end of the week.

With the tail tidy, which was fitted last year, along with the Werkes exhaust and bar and mirrors, the bike is coming together nicely.
The suspension was set up over a year ago to suit my riding style, so the next modification was to take the bike to Dave Woods Racing in Buckingham for an ECU 're flash. The bike came back last week and I've not had time to see how much difference the 're flash has made to the performance.
Dave dyno'd the bike before starting the upgrade, there was 149.5 hp at the back wheel. Unfortunately his dyno developed an issue as the bike was being run to find out the new figure, so I need to pop back once the dyno is fixed, to see what level of power the bike is producing.

Okay, I can see what happened without the 'benefit' of excess alcohol.

Again substituting curly brackets {} for square ones [] so you can see what's happening without hitting the 'Quote' button. (more Klingon for you)

postimg give you code to paste straight in

{url=https://postimg.cc/TKkKWgPJ}{img}https://i.postimg.cc/TKkKWgPJ/IMG-20200516-161451.jpg{/img}{/url}

which gives you a forum thumbnail that's a link to the postimg page

this is complete bb code and can be pasted straight into your post

You used the 'Insert Image' button which and pasted the code, without removing the "http://" that the button gives you.
This adds bb code 'img' tags plus that "http://"
{IMG}http:// ...before, and... {/IMG} ...after

It's a shame because what you really want is the actual image
https://i.postimg.cc/rpTx39X3/IMG-20200516-161451.jpg
[IMG]https://i.postimg.cc/rpTx39X3/IMG-20200516-161451.jpg[IMG]
you get by following the link to postimg, right-clicking the bigger pic. and choosing 'Copy image address'
(this doesn't work as their code detects the link being used to bypass their ads)

not the thumbnail
{IMG}https://i.postimg.cc/TKkKWgPJ/IMG-20200516-161451.jpg{/IMG}

but postimg want to get you to the full page so they can hit you with clickbait advertising

and of course the 'Insert Link' button just creates the bb code
{url="https:// ...www...the URL of your link...com... "} ...your text... {/url}
which is the outer bit of code postimg gave you around the thumbnail,
this is actually not neccesary because the forum detects something starting with http:// or https:// or even just www. and adds the link code automagically

Dear Earthlings.
Just go on https://imgbb.com/
follow the simple upload prompts and copy/paste the "BBCode fully linked" onto your post

Bike is coming on Grumpy. Now that the Horsemen of the Apocalypse seem to have disbanded, I will have to just call you the Dark Rider..
