You're spot on, Mr Gazza. I had this discussion with Nick and Chris at Doubletake one year, or rather they pointed out to me that, if I brought the bike in without the pillion pegs, I must remember to fit the seat cover if I wanted it to pass.

It's actually specifically covered in the MOT manual, which says:

"Single seat motorcycles don't need pillion footrests. If there's an optional cowl replacing or covering the pillion seat at the time of test, you should consider it to be a single seat motorcycle."

I concur with that, I've never had an issue with not having pillion pegs for the MOT

These won't fit mine, Mike, but I'll see if they do ones that will. Mine are Ducabits so I've discovered. They are perfectly serviceable now they have been tweeked a bit.
