They would seem to have some catching up to do, and pretty quickly too.

Blimey! I might have to buy an edible hat, just in case.

I wonder if this will lead to a re-joining with Ducati Electrotecnica?

Just spotted this in the accessories catalogue (available from 2023).

Looks like range will be limited to about 25 meters!

It’ll certainly “spark” some interest this weekend....overall a pretty dull affair with three riders championships in the balance and some local geezer getting ready to pack it in. Suspect a bumper weekend for the world’s best tee shirt salesman....wish I was there.

Well, Ducati certainly seem to have hit the ground running here! They must have been working on this behind the scenes for some time as it's only been two months between the original Moto E announcement and getting a prototype on track.

When Ducati first announced that they were to supply the MotoE bikes, Domenicali was quoted as saying:

“Some brands [in the group] are closer to us than others. There is a group battery centre of excellence and we are discussing very closely with them, but it is mainly related to mass production cars, mainly VW and Audi. So we are also working very closely with the more sporty brands like Porsche and Lamborghini.

“Porsche are developing their own specific battery technology for small series of very high performance, and have just presented their Mission R with a very sophisticated oil-cooled battery.

“There is a lot of experience and we will take a good advantage from it.”
